Established
nearly 40 years ago by Robert Findlay, under the name 'Findlay's
of Cumnock', Central Garage has continued to expand to become
one of the biggest players in the specialist field of nearly new
vehicles, within Ayrshire.

Starting
off in the vehicle repair sector, Robert Findlay quickly expanded
into Car Sales in the 1960's and eventually held the franchises
for both Ford and Renault.

day one the emphasis has been on service to the customer.”
Robert's
son Robin joined the company straight from school in the 80's
and gradually worked his way up through the business. Starting
as a mechanic, Robin eventually managed the Workshop and Coachwork
Departments.

On
moving into Sales in 1989 Robin soon identified a market for nearly
new vehicles. Coupled with the company's ethos of “striving
at all times to build a long and trusting relationship with every
customer” Findlay's have gone from strength to strength
in this market.
“I
very rarely advertise as most of my custom comes from repeat business
and references from satisfied clients”, says Robin. “Whatever
the customers requirement, I do my best to supply them.”
Robin
has become one of Scotland's main selective buyers, attending
closed auctions throughout the UK, buying for himself as well
as other prestigious dealerships.
